Los Angeles water has two problems, and this system treats both. The first is hardness. Calcium and magnesium leave scale behind: the white, chalky crust on faucets and shower heads, and the same buildup out of sight inside your pipes, water heater, dishwasher and washing machine. The salt free tank transforms those minerals through the TAC process (Template Assisted Crystallization) into stable crystals that cannot stick, so they rinse through instead of building up. The second is chloramine, the disinfectant LA adds to its water. The carbon tank takes it out, along with chlorine, VOCs and other chemicals, at every tap in the house, hot and cold. No salt to refill, nothing to plug in, and no wastewater.

Salt free conditioning does not soften the water. We would rather you know before you buy than after.
- The minerals stay in, so a hardness test reads the same afterwards
