One tank on your main line, filled with granular activated coconut shell carbon from Jacobi over a bed of polishing gravel. It takes chlorine, chloramine, chemicals and the odors and tastes they leave out of every tap in the house, hot and cold. Los Angeles disinfects its water with chloramine, so this is the layer that matters most here. There is no salt to refill, nothing to plug in, and no wastewater.
